From the reputable Space Bag brand, these vacuum storage bags make for the perfect space-saving solution when you have to stow seasonal clothes and bedspread sets, or when you’re looking to create extra space in your luggage. They save space at home and money on flights.
What sets these apart from conventional space saver bags is their dual-use function—you don’t need to use a vacuum cleaner to suck out the air if you don’t want to. The roll out air function means that you can simply roll the bag to get rid of any excess air and space through the one-way valve, then use the Sure-Zip slider to seal it air-tight. This makes things a little slower than using a vacuum tube, though, but it gets the job done as well. Also, it can be tricky to close and seal the Space Bag properly, but enough practice makes these bags easy to use. Of course, using a standard vacuum cleaner on these solves the problem, and makes these vacuum storage bags pretty impressive and compressing thick clothes and bed items.
These vacuum storage bags are good for both light travel use and heavier-duty use at home to store blankets and winter clothing and protect them from moisture and dirt. However, if you’re using them during travel, be careful not to pack them with sharp objects which can jostle around and poke holes in these space saver bags. These are made of plastic and don’t have an extra layer of canvas like some bags do, so they can tear quite easily. Also, another possible complaint you may encounter with these bags is their lack of guaranteed airtightness. If you don’t seal the bags exactly as you should, you might find them expanding after a few months in the closet.
